Formed by the union of several cities Ăbuda, Buddha and Pest. Splendid palaces, impressive buildings public, ample boulevards, green zones, a rich cultural life enrich and excellent restaurants. Many visitors begin the visit of the country by the capital, one of most beautiful of Europe, whose historical center next to the Danube, was declared by UNESCO Patrimony of the Humanity. The Danube, crosses the city of north to the south and exist seven bridges that unite both parts of the city forming part of the wonderful architectonic landscape of Budapest. A good form to appreciate the beauty and dimension of the city, is to admire Pest from hills of Buddha and to contemplate Buddha to the shade of the Parliament of Pest. Of this form the proportions are valued better and is very easy to locate the buildings that are wanted to visit. The beauty of the buildings reflected in waters of the Danube is a spectacle difficult to describe.
Pest, is the financial, commercial and political center. It is the present, where one tries to realise its dreams and to prevail. The majority of the theaters, cinemas and clubs, many restaurants is in this part of the city, cafeterias and stores. Once in Pest we cannot go to us without taking a walk by the Våci street, that takes until the Vörösmarty place, always boisterous and where traveling clowns, musicians, sketchers of pictures try to draw attention of the tourists⊠Other significant buildings are: the Vigadó palace (in the Vigadó place), the Gresham palace (in front of the Széchenyi bridge), the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Parliament, the National museum, the Basilica of San Esteban and the building of the Opera.
In Buddha multitude of old woman buildings, witnesses of a glorious past and scene of historical events exist that affected Europe. A good way to begin to meet Buddha is raising the Gellért hill. 140 ms rise on the city and emphasize by the impressive monument of the Liberation that it has in his top, constructed in gratefulness the Russian soldiers who released the city in World War II. The center of Buddha corresponds to the District of the Castle, being one of the most romantic and beautiful places of Budapest. Almost closed to the traffic, it is a perfect site to take a walk contemplating his beautiful samples of architecture. The winding side streets and the narrow buildings that abound in all the district are vestiges of the Average Age.
The key points of the route by the center of Buddha are the Place of the SantĂsima Trinidad in front of the main entrance of the MatĂas Church, the Bastion of the Fishermen from where the best views of Pest and the Danube can be seen, the Church of Maria Magdalena, the Museum of Military History and the Real Palace that nowadays lodges two museums, the Museum of History of Budapest and the National Gallery. In one of the patios of the Palace is the Source of MatĂas and of which the tradition says that throws a currency in its waters it has guaranteed to return to Budapest. Other attractive tourist ones of Buddha are the Door of Vienna, the Palace of Erödy and the Place of Moscow. Ăbuda, on the other hand, is the north of the present Buddha and impressive Roman ruins are conserved that date from century III. The best ones conserved are those of the military amphitheatre and spas.
